Anerley and Southport are small coastal towns in South Africa, set so close to each other their business intertwined, that they are often recognized to be each other.

Both run into the Indian Ocean on their left, and stretch across agricultural ground to the South Coast high way on their right. This old coastal road (alternative route to the South Coast highway) which runs from Hibberdene to Port Shepstone cuts through Southport at its only robot. Close to this robot is a hive of activity and a landmark Total refueling station. A string of small businesses run along the slip-road leading to this robot, which includes the Vintage Treasures antique shop, a bottle store and superette.
Southport has its own post office called the Anerley Post Office, (it had moved from Anerley to Southport more than a decade ago), a couple of restaurants and take-away food suppliers, a second-hand dealership, electrical appliance shop, medical and dental centre, library, clinic and bowling club.

Southport and Anerley beaches are is ideal for fishing, diving and snorkling.

Anerley has the Damba River flowing through it into the Anerley Beach, which, like its twin, has a tidal pool and public ablution blocks, but no life guards nor tarred parking area for visitors.
